With the ever continuing advancement of social media and the availability of tools to aid in self promotion we all fall into this space of believing someone else life is so much better than ours. Everything seems perfect for them. Everything goes right all of the time and they are always having fun. That is the beauty of social media, You get to post and promote exactly what you want! You have the ability to design the life you want and you can show a fairly censored version of yourself to the world (if that is what you want to do).
No one really likes to see or read negativity on social media, so most of us post the positive. There is nothing wrong with this. No one really wants you to air your dirty laundry for everyone to see, but in doing this we all have to remember that what we see is the best representation of the person we follow. No matter how many followers, how many comments or how awesome that persons life appears to be, everyone has bad days. Everyone experiences moments of self doubt, feeling inadequate, wishing they were doing more. Everyone has days where they want to stay in bed and just sleep the day away because tomorrow will be better. Everyone experiences hardship, negativity and under motivation. And no one is the exception!
Experiencing these things don’t make you any less awesome or inspirational. It is just how life is.
So next time you are scrolling through someones feed and you wish that you had a life like theirs, remember that they have their shit just like you have your shit. No one has a completely perfect life! But we all have the power to do our best and create the life that we really want.
