The healthiest Lifestyle choice you can make right now is to be Happy. With happiness comes the desire and motivation to change other areas of your life. But until you decided to be happy. Right now, where you are, then nothing will happen. Happiness doesn’t come “After” or “when”. You need to choose to be happy right here and now.

I am not saying to settle with what you have right now. You should never settle, but you need to be able to appreciate what you have right now but still strive for more.

In all of my ups and downs, successes and failures, the one thing that I have learned is, if you can’t be happy now then you won’t be happy later. Happiness is not a bi-product of material possessions, promotions, money or successes. Happiness just so happens to promote those changes when you learn to appreciate what you have now.

This is a lesson easier said then put into place and I struggle with it every now and again as well, just like anyone else. I try to make myself remember that everything could always be worse, no matter what the situation is.

I can say that no matter how difficult it is to find happiness exactly where you are right now, the benefits are well worth the trouble. Happiness attracts the positives in life and if you lead a happy life, in my experience, the good things start happening and at an alarmingly fast rate.

When we are in a bad mood, depressed, upset and feel as though the world is unjust and unfair we allow ourselves to get caught in a negative spiral of emotions that don’t promote change or accomplishment. If we continue to feed this cycle we dig ourselves deeper and deeper into a pit of despair. I know this because I have been there. A few days can turn into weeks and then months. The longer we go with out addressing it the harder it claw our way out of our rut and the more support we need and the longer it takes to recover! Do your best to not allow yourself to get caught in the fast moving cycle!

Having a clear and positive head reduces stress and stress born issues/illnesses which in itself makes a positive outlook and happy existence worth the trouble almost always!! We don’t need to feel sorry for ourselves, we need to take a good hard look at everything we have going for us. Appreciate the positives, Understand the negatives and smile that we are still alive. I promise you… It is worth it!
