The winter time for me is always my slow jumping season, the cold weather really gets to me at times and I find myself tucked away, warm in my home! Because I am the kid of person who looks forward to the start of the next jumping season I try my hardest to stay in shape so once the warm weather hits there is no grace period of how hard I charge because I need to get back into shape!
In the off season there are several things that I do to stay in shape for hiking and jumping, all of which I find to be extremely fun! 🙂
First I eat right because proper nutrition is key to an active lifestyle
I do the typical go to the gym 2-3 times a week and do card, but my favorite activity of all is Parkour. I spend 2-4 nights a week at a local gymnastics studio practicing wall spins, running front flips, standing back tucks and many other variations of inverted wonderfulness. It helps keep me in shape but also improves my…flipping capacity so once the season hits it is time for some massive flipping/spinning/rolling action!!!
Not only do I stay performing at top notch (my top notch) but I have a blast in doing so!
